How to add an FTP server

You need only a minute to add an FTP server. Here is an example of a screen showing wizard dialogs.

1. Enter the name of the FTP server. This name is only for you. It's not used for connection with FTP servers. Examples: "business books", "music", "software archive".

2. Enter the address of the FTP server. It can be a host or IP address. Examples: "ftp.archive.org", "156.23.234.17".

3. Enter the port for the FTP server. If you don't know what is it, then leave the default value ("21").

4. The public FTP servers often use the special login "anonymous". If you don't know the login and password for the FTP server then leave login "anonymous", otherwise, enter your login and password.

5. If you add an FTP server for the first time, leave the default settings.

6. If the FTP server supports secure connections, you can use it. Most of public FTP servers don't support secure connections.

7. This is the last page of the wizard. You can edit other settings for this FTP server and start immediately the scanning of the server.
