How to find FTP servers by scanning a network

You need only a minute to start scanning a network. The scanning of standard class C network requires about 10 minutes. Here is an example of a screen with wizard dialogs.

1. Select the range for scanning. If you are doing it for the first time, accept the default settings.

2. Here, you can change the timeout for checking possible FTP hosts. If you are doing this for the first time, accept the default settings.

3. Use of "ping" option allows scanning to run faster. But some servers can be in "invisible mode" and considered to be inaccessible.

4. You can setup scheduled searching for a new FTP host. If you wish to scan the network every hour, then enter "60". If you don't use scheduled scanning, then leave the default value.

5. Here you can switch off adding of found servers to servers list and to ban scanning of contents of found servers. We recommend you not to change these settings.

6. You can add several networks and then start searching or start searching of FTP servers immediately (default). If you are doing this for the first time, accept the default settings.
